Welcome to Appalachian Highlands Wood Design!
Welcome to The Wood Shop! My journey as a craftsman began in the mid 90’s as my young family was quickly growing. The need to provide comfortable and unique living spaces for my 5 children in a 3 bedroom home was a challenge I was ready to take on. The result? Several renditions of custom loft beds, play spaces, book shelves, swing sets, and jungle gyms - including a pirate ship!
Today, my wife and I live in Jonesborough and our five children have dispersed through Tennessee, North Carolina and Illinois. My goal today is the same as it was all those years ago: to provide homes with beautiful, functional and custom pieces as solutions to every family's unique needs.
